TXU Energy customers can now save up to $500 or more every year on electricity when friends and family switch to TXU Energy after being referred through the TXU Energy Refer-a-Friend website. With the new TXU Energy Refer-a-Friend program, customers can earn a $50 bill credit for each friend who switches to TXU Energy through the website. As an added bonus, their friends who switch get a bill credit, too.

In order to qualify for the new Refer-a-Friend program, the referring party must be a current customer of TXU Energy and must enroll in the Refer-a- Friend program at http://www.txu.com/referafriend . Once enrolled, a unique Refer-a-Friend account will be established allowing the customer to enter names and e-mail addresses of people they want to refer. The Referral E-mail Tool will then send a pre-designed e-mail to the referrals.

After the referral switches online to TXU Energy and remains a customer for at least three months, both the referring customer and the new customer will each receive a $50 bill credit. Customers can earn a maximum credit of $599 every calendar year. This includes all bill credits earned through the TXU Energy Refer-a-Friend program as well as all other bill credits earned through any TXU Energy special customer promotion during the applicable calendar year.

The TXU Energy Refer-a-Friend program joins a long list of benefits that TXU Energy customers currently enjoy, including a loyalty program called TXU Energy Rewards+(TM), customized advice via the TXU Energy Home Energy Advisor, energy-efficiency rebates through an authorized dealer network, and seasonal energy-saving tips.
