New England Clean Fuels Enters CleanTech & BioFuels Markets

New England Clean Fuels announced its entry into the Alternative Fuels & Clean Technology markets with its 100% owned, patent pending MicroOrganism Production System (“MOPS”). The MOPS is designed to reduce the emissions of fixed polluters by turning those emissions into feedstock for ethanol & biodiesel using photosynthetic micro organisms like algae and bacteria.

The MOPS addresses two important needs in the growing market for alternative energy solutions. First, it can substantially reduce the toxic emissions of fixed, fossil fuel powered electric power generators. Second, it can produce feedstock for biodiesel and ethanol on a small fraction of the land currently used by farmers to produce such feedstock.

Jonathan L. Gal, President of New England Clean Fuels & sole inventor of the MOPS, stated, “I am very proud of the MOPS, and I believe that it truly represents a significant advance in this field, which I have been following since my time as a lab technician in the early 1990’s. Much work lies ahead in order to prove the technology’s legal patentability, technological capability, & commercial viability. I look forward to the challenge of achieving all three and also to the large scale rollout of the MOPS, both inside the US and throughout the rest of the world.”
