Environmental and Renewable Energy Advances will be Displayed and Discussed in Europe (AT)

The first European congress for environmental technology and renewable energies, Envietech, will be held in Vienna, Austria from 31 January to 1 February 2008 and is attracting environmental experts from all over Europe and overseas. The event, which is being held under the auspices of the Austrian Ministry for the Environment, will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest product innovations, trends, and problem-solving methods in the environmental and energy disciplines. Various expert forums and a trade exhibition will be held.
The purpose of Envietech is to establish a leading European showcase for the advances in environmental technology and renewable energy to provide an environment for a dialogue between experts and to promote this growth market. This sector of the Austrian economy has a market volume of four billion euros ($5.8 billion USD, as of today) and an annual growth of 7.5%. In overall EU terms, this market’s volume amounts to around 230 billion euros ($337 billion USD, as of today).
The fourth European Forum for Eco-Innovations, dealing with the tapping of global market opportunities within the framework of Envietech, will be a further focus. The trade exhibition will be presenting state-of-the-art developments and solutions in the fields of water management, waste management, renewable energies, services and technology transfer.
Reduced participation fees are being offered for applications received by 15 December.
